1. Volume 1: FlipSpace

These are some photographs of my first publication, called FlipSpace. The binding technique I used was Drum Leaf Binding, along with a hard bound cover. I also used book fabric on the inner side of the front cover in order to give a more finished feel to the book.
Below are some shots of the inner pages of the publication.

As you can see, the binding technique played an important role in facilitating the structural logistics of the book. I used two separate page signatures, each of which were bound using drum leaf binding technique, then the two signatures were combined with a page from each signature after the next.
I made a quick video below to better understand the above.
The video above visually explains the structural logic behind the book.

2. Slipcase

This is the slipcase I made for FlipSpace, using 3mm thick grey board, along with red book fabric. For the front of the slipcase I created at indentation with a depth of around 1.5 mm to paste the branding logo I designed. I also included a finger cut out in order to make it easier to pull out the book.

3. Instructions Cards

Inside the slipcase, I included these instruction card as well to ease the users experience with the book given its unusual structure
4. Branding

This is the logo for FlipSpace, as illustrated by the F and S, keeping warm tones of red as the color.
5. Spreads (All the 3D spatial renders I designed using the software Sketchup)
