PROJECT MIMIC (Tool: Blender)
1

PROJECT: OPTION 1 (DISTORTED HAND)

2

PROJECT: DRAGON BY YAKUB SHIEVERSKI

Response:
- What would it look like or be without the head? Would it then be cables/ wires or chains?
- Explore more with the curves and twisted part of the structure
- Explore different forms, materials, structures.
- Can create iterations of said structure showing perspectives of both 3D and 2D within one frame/ render using Blender.
- Several iterations to understand
- Iterate using blender, something unusual/ something that its not supposed to do.

HACK (1) (54 ITERATIONS)
[WIREFRAME ITERATIONS]

FINAL HACK (2) (54 ITERATIONS)
[RANDOMISED NODES CONNECTIONS]
These are some iterations after having subverted my chosen tool i.e. blender. Instead of focusing on the main 3D/2D workspace, as users typically do on blender, I thought it would be interesting to use the “Shaded Editor” as the main work space (which is usually a “behind the scenes” workspace where settings/ controls are systematically modified to get the desired effects/ results) and to use the “Nodes” (i.e blocks of editable information) as the main component. Further, I decided to randomly connect over 60 of these nodes to each other in a completely unsystematic way and move them around.

Response:
- Re-think about the wireframe hack
- Maybe use the nodes hack and its randomized connections further by paying attention to its result on the main model
- Since one of my observations was that blender is procedural and systematic, do the contrary and obtain iterations
